Only one more sleep before we head off on our adventure. Here are some photos of our home for the next three months.
This is our off road Jayco Outback Destiny (hence the name of the blog) which we bought 2 years ago for this trip.
Edited: Peter just corrected me in that it is a Jayco Outback Discovery.......oops!
This is the bed which is down one end. It is an extender bed which means there is a piece that slips in at the top of the mattress that extends the length of the mattress. There is also lots of storage under the bed.
This is the shower and toilet.
Closer view of the toilet. The silver thing is the toilet roll holder which I forgot to put up before I took the photo.
This is the hand basin which is above the toilet. You pull the bowl down just like you do on trains, very cool!
This is the kitchen area which is the opposite end to the bed.
Our lounge. We bought a special holder for the table which lets it rotate out more than a normal table. Much easier to get in and out.
This is opposite the lounge. The air conditioner is on the left and the TV fits on a bracket just beside that so you can watch it from the lounge or swing it around to watch in bed. Next is the microwave which is above the pantry and then the fridge.
Today we are putting all our clothes etc in the van ready to go in the morning. I will be taking some craft stuff with me as well as my ebook reader, a Nintendo DS (thanks Kim) and cd's and audio books (thanks Jenni).
So lots to do today to pack the van, clean the house and do a final shop before we go.
Next post will be somewhere along the track.
